Surfing lesson with…Kelly Slater!

Our ‘Hottie’ for this week is 10 time surfing World Champion Kelly Slater.

This surfing legend has dominated the world of surf for more than 20 years and is currently ranked #1 on the World Rankings. I have had the privilege of seeing him surf and I have not seen anyone who can compare to him out in the water.

Kelly has not only made a name for himself in surfing, but he has also tried his hand at acting. He played in the role of Jimmy Slade in Baywatch in the early 1990’s and has been part of many documentaries about surfing. Slater is passionate about preserving oceans globally and protecting temperate reefs in California through his relationship with Reefs Neck.

I have been a huge fan of his for many, many years and look forward to the Billabong Pro that takes place in Jeffreys Bay, South Africa every year just to get a glimpse of the master in actionJ.

Chris Evans...can be my Captain any day!! :)

This week my ‘Hottie of the Week’ is American actor Chris Evans.

Chris is from Massachusetts and is the older brother of Scott Evans (was featured on ‘One Life to Live’) and is the nephew of US Congressman Mike Capuano.

He has only come to my attention in the last few months, but boy am I glad he didJ.  Not only is he good looking, has a killer smile, did I already mention good lookingJ  but he is also an actor whose movies I have enjoyed watching. He seems to bring a little something extra to all the roles he has been in that is reminiscent of the real Chris Evans. This is made reference to in a lot of the interviews that he has done.

He is known for his roles in Not Another Teen Movie, Fantastic Four, Fantastic Four:  Rise of the Silver Surfer, Cellular and The Losers to name a few. But he is about to take on the role of a lifetime in Captain America: The First Avenger. This is the most anticipated movie of 2011 and from what we have seen in the trailer, it is going to be a blockbuster hit!!

In addition to acting, Chris is also the face of Gucci Guilty for him and her. These pics make me want to buy the fragrance (went to test it the other day and in all truthfulness, it is a stunning fragrance!! And no, Chris didn’t pay me to say this…hehe)

A trip down memory lane with NSYNC...JC Chasez :)

Ok so I know it has been a little while since I last posted, but those of you who know me know that I have been up to alot lately.

So this week's "Hottie" is a little trip down memory lane for me. In the time when the boy bands ruled I only ever liked one band and that was NSYNC. And JC Chasez was a big part of that :)

JC (Joshua Scott Chasez) started his career in the entertainment industry on a little show called The Mickey Mouse Club along with future stars Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Ryan Gosling and Christina Aguilera. This is where the friendship between Justin and JC started.

JC has the voice of an angel and the looks to match as well. And have I mentioned those blue eyes...mmmm...

And the American Idol is ... CASEY JAMES !!

And our first ever "Hottie of the Week" goes to ... Casey James!!

Casey first came to the attention of his many fans when he auditioned for American Idol Season 9. He was a favorite from the first audition and his fan base has been growing ever since. He gave us some of the most memorable performances on American Idol with his rendition of 'Jealous Guy', 'Mrs Robinson' and 'Don't'. He finished in third place but that didn't stop record execs from seeing what a talent Mr James is and he was signed to a record deal with Sony Nashville.

Fans got an opportunity to communicate with Casey while he was on the American Idol Live Tour through Twitter and they were the first to know about his record deal. His fans also got to see a glimpse of his personality through a series of videos known as 'Late Night Sandwich' and these just endeared him more to his fans.

Casey has been very busy at work recording his debut album with his band known as 'Casey James Band' and doing charity work in Tennessee. The future looks very bright for this amazing musician and we, his fans, will be there to support him all the way to his first Grammy and beyond.
